The unreleased movie Snakes on a Plane starring badass motherfucker Samuel L. Jackson is sure to be a cult classic. In fact, it already is, with shirts in stores like Hot Topic and parodies already floating around the net. The best one thus far has to be this video comedian Dave Coyne doing impressions of actors Christopher Walken, Jack Nicholson, Joe Pesci, and Robert Deniro, and muppet, Beaker doing casting auditions for the movie. This is hilarious, check it out.

Looking for a teaching job for High School social studies is hard work. Very few positions are open because the field is full of people just like me looking for jobs. I ask some advice from many people on how to increase my chances of getting hired. On more than one occasion I was told to teach Special Education until a Social Studies position opens up. This I cannot do. Not because I don’t like special education students, that is not it at all. The reason is my degree is in History, not Special Education. What kills me even more is how many PE teachers teach Sp Ed. These teachers, just like I’m certified for history, are certified for Phys Ed and NOT Sp Ed. Am I the only one that sees a problem here? Students who need help the most are getting teachers who are only teaching them until a position in their actual field opens up. This does not seem right to me at all. Such is the way of the school systems I guess.

Wow, what can I say about this album? Only one word can describe it… Amazing. Cee-Lo comes great on this album. I really don’t know how to explain the album really. It’s not really anything like his first album Cee-lo Green Presents His Perfect Imperfections which was a mix or jazz, funk, hip hop, r & b, and soul. iTunes has his latest venture categorized as Alternative. I guess that does fit, it is very different from anything I’ve heard in a long time. It’s so nice to see something new in music. Of course, DJ Dangermouse (of the Jay-Z/Beatles The Grey Album fame) produced the album and brought forth some really great tracks to let Cee-Lo shine on. Even DM production isn’t really the norm for him. This whole album is so fresh that words can’t explain it, you just have to listen. I highly suggest you check this album out. One of the best and most creative albums in years (besides CunninLynguists’ A Piece of Strange, which of course featured Cee-Lo on it)

This past Saturday was my my 5 year high school reunion. 5 years goes by quick. Now, I really do find the 5 year pointless. Everyone is still in college or just got out of college and are looking for jobs. The only purpose it served was to see some people I haven’t seen in a while, since high school for many. The standard question of “what have you been up to?” doesn’t really work here, though everyone asked it. What have I been up to? Well, college, just like you and everyone else here. There were some people there that I was surprised to see and glad I did see them, while others I was hoping to see but didn’t. Even Tony from Chicago came down for it. (thanks for the ride again T-Bone!) Over all there weren’t that many people there but in a way that was good because it gave me more time to talk to everyone that was there. It was definitely a fun night, and I had more 22 ounce beers than I can remember. If anyone from the reuninion reads this, it was great seeing you and we really should try to do this more than every 5 years.
