The New TV Season

The new TV season has begun. There aren’t many new shows I’m looking forward to, but there are many returning favorites. How I Met Your Mother is a really good show. I really enjoyed last season and am looking forward to this season. The season premiere was a good one. The new show that premiered after it, The Big Bang Theory tried too hard to be nerdy and funny and really just came out boring. I’ll probably watch it a couple more times as they sandwiched it in between How I Met.. and Two and a Half Men. Speaking of which, the season premiere was really funny. I hope the writers can keep up with the laughs this season. I felt last season it started to get kind of stale. After Two and a Half.. was Rules of Engagement. I started watching this show in reruns the past couple of weeks and really like it. I think the only reason I like it is because Patrick Warburton (Putty from Seinfeld) is on it.

House premiered last night. I’m really looking forward to this season. Besides Lost, this is my favorite show. Hugh Laurie is so great in this role. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings. Chuck also premiered. Seems this season is full of geeks. I really enjoyed this highly unbelievable show. It was fun, something Heroes was in the beginning (I never watched the last 3 episodes last season). Other than Lost, I can’t think of any other shows I really want to watch. There’s always Entourage, who’s season just ended, and Psych which also just ended. Other than that, nothing really excites me this season. I do wish Studio 60 was still around. We need more smart TV shows like that.

What about The Office and My Name is Earl

There is another new show called The IT Crowd, which is based off a BBC series that is coming to NBC for a mid-season small run. I have enjoyed the BBC version so far, lets hope NBC gets another hit like it did the other BBC derived show The Office

the office! how could i forget about the office. that is consistently the funniest show on tv. Earl is ok but is starting to get old. I’ll still watch it because i like Jason Lee.

I never saw the British version of the IT crowd, but knowing some of the stupid crap that goes on in IT I can only imagine how funny it will be.
