Baseball is just around the corner, so I thought I’d repost this short tribute to the game I wrote a year ago for those who might not have caught it the first time around.

The time is approaching. You can hear it swimming through the air. Closer and closer. You hear a crack. A sound so familiar, but you can’t quite figure out where you’ve heard it before. Read more

Or should it be Unofficially Official?

Someone in the Qn5 Forums put together a tripod website detailing the concept album A Piece of Strange by CunninLynguists. The album is brilliant in my opinion, but this fan site was not. I have to give props to the guy because he took time to create it, but the design was not very pleasing to the eyes. Many people in the forums liked the idea, but wanted a new design. I decided to throw something together and this is what I came up with. It’s unofficially official. Keep cheking the site for reviews, interviews about the album, and more critiques. What is A Piece of Strange?

The week before Thanksgiving, things got boring in the Social Studies Dept. Read our Thanksgiving Haikus (I’m the Apprentice)

Time magazine came out with a list of the Top 100 Novels. There are some really good books on there, but there are a few that I think should be on the list and are not. So now, I give you my list. No, I will not list 100 novels, but just some of my favorite.

  • The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
  • Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
  • Diary by Chuck Palahniuk
  • Timeline by Michael Crichton
  • To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
  • Animal Farm by George Orwell
  • The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
  • Forrest Gump by Winston Groom
  • Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
  • The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien
  • Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe
  • Shoeless Joe by W.P. Kinsella
  • Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
  • Those are the ones I could come up with off the top of my head. I’m sure there are many, many more that I have read and forgot on this list.

I recently came up with a good idea for a short story/novella that I think would be really cool to work on and have it out there for people to read. It will be a lot of work, but should be really interesting. I’m going to need some collaborators to work on this project. I’m reluctant to give too much information now, but it involves creating a WordPress site (that will feature fictional information about politics and the government, presented as real for the story). I’m looking for some designers and writers who would want to contribute. Contact me for more details about the project. I’m sure you’ll find it interesting.
